FAQ
What service is best for me?
Most clients I see are individuals or couples seeking support with their challenges. Please choose what you are needing at this time. If you have questions and/or need to see if we are a good fit, please book a free 15-minute consultation with me.
How many sessions and how often do you recommend?
Therapy is not meant to be a quick fix. It is meant to slow things down, be intentional, and help you work through your life challenges in real time. Clients I have worked with have seen the best results having weekly sessions. There is no time limit with therapy as there will always be issues and patterns to work with. You get to choose how long you want to be in therapy. We will work together to create a 3-, 6-, and 9-month plan to help gauge our progress together. Clients eventually go to biweekly and monthly sessions once they feel well resourced and reached a level of healing they are satisfied with.
Do you currently accept insurance or HSA/FSA?
I am currently accepting Cigna a this time. Clients who have other insurance that reimburses mental health therapy sessions will be able to request a super bill. Clients will be responsible for submitting information to their insurance providers. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
Are rituals good for mental health?
Research shows that rituals can offer numerous psychological advantages such as helping us savor experiences, giving us a sense of control, and reducing anxiety. Rituals are also helpful for grief and can help one find support in times of uncertainty.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please read my policy list under the appointment tab to find out more information. I require a 48-hour cancellation for you to not be charged the full rate. There are always clients needing therapy so it is important to keep your appointment if you can. Therapy is an investment in yourself, you can only grow and become more aware. If you are feeling off one day bring it to session. You are welcome in all emotions and states of being.
What populations do you work with?
I am currently seeing children, teens, and adults. I love supporting a diverse community and try my best to meet clients where they are at. I offer individual sessions, couples sessions, and psychedelic integration.
What if I need longer sessions?
Clients have the option of adding on time to their sessions, although, this will have to be discussed prior as it will not always be an option the day of. A standard session lasts 50 minutes. Clients engaged in nature therapy suggest having 2-hours to get the full experience outdoors. Nature therapy slows things down and the more time you have the more you feel connected to the land. Rates are $50 per extra 30 minutes.
Do you offer in person therapy options?
Aside from virtual, I do offer in person therapy sessions at my office in Golden, CO. It is up to the client to have sessions in person or virtual. Depending on the weather for trail sessions, clients have the option of choosing a virtual session if conditions are severe.
I need help now and my session isn’t until 5 days, what do I do?
